The 2024 vintage began with a mild winter and an early budburst in April. Although spring brought light hail to the higher plots, the vines continued their cycle with vigour. However, a severe hailstorm on August 28th damaged part of the estate: while the quality of the vintage across most of the property was exceptional, we made the decision to harvest and discard the grapes from the affected area. Thanks to the meticulous work of our team and cool, balanced conditions through to the end, the harvest progressed flawlessly between September 23rd and October 10th, yielding fruit of extraordinary quality.

More than one hundred individual plots form this singular landscape, farmed organically to nurture its surrounding biodiversity. The grapes —95% Tinto
Fino, 3% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon— are hand-harvested and undergo a rigorous triple selection process: first in the vineyard, followed by cluster sorting and berry sorting at the winery. Once inside, gravity-led rackings and the use of our own indigenous yeasts and bacteria preserve the authenticity of the raw material. After aging for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels of various capacities, the wine was fined using natural egg whites. Contains sulphites for optimal preservation. It was bottled in the spring of 2026.

Pago de Carraovejas 2024 is a reflection of the estate; a precise and profound interpretation of the landscape of the Carraovejas Valley. Pago de Carraovejas reproduces the essence of a privileged environment full of life. Its structured and fluid profile reveals a harmonious complexity in which fresh fruit, floral hints and subtle spicy notes coexist. Freshness is the focus of the wine, which balances its volume with a silky, enveloping texture.
