OUR WINES

The result of the effort

Cuesta de las Liebres 2009

Only in single vintages

Intensity and structure received from our land but with the delicacy of care and affection. The identity of our territory is sensed from the prism of balance.

  • Varieties: Tinto Fino (96%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%) and Merlot (1%).
  • Soils: Tertiary geology of limestone marl with outcrops of calcareous salts of a very characteristic whitish tone.
  • Altitude: 850 to 900 meters. Elevation difference of up to 35%.
  • Harvest: manual, in boxes 15 kg.

Elaboration:

  • Fermentation: In oak vats from forests in central France managed under “Haute Futaie”.
  • Ageing: 24 months in new French oak barrels.
  • Clarified with natural egg whites
  • Bottled: May 2012

Sensory tasting:

  • Color: Cherry red with purplish hints.
  • Aromas: Wine rich in sensory nuances.
  • Palate: Firm, evocative, long and round.
  • Due to its intense color and the natural winemaking process this wine may precipitate inside the bottle.
“Cuesta de las Liebres 2009 defines the virtues of this steep slope and the extreme viticulture we develop here. The cradle of an exciting Tempranillo. Our most precise and pure vineyard”.
