Crianza 2011

The interpretation of Pao

A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.

  • Varieties: tinto fino (93%) cabernet sauvignon (5%) and merlot (2%).
  • Alcohol by volume: 15%.
  • Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
  • Altitude: around 850 meters.
  • Harvest: manual, in boxes 15 kg.

Elaboration: 

  • Ageing: 12 months in French and American oak barrels
  • Clarified with natural egg whites.
  • Bottled: April 2013.

Sensory tasting: 

  • Color: Purple red with same colour rims.
  • Aromas: Aroma of ripe fruit, dairy, balsamic notes and sweet spices.
  • Palate: Balanced, franc and lingering.
