Crianza 1996

The interpretation of Pago

A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.

  • Varieties: tinto fino (75%) and cabernet sauvignon (15%).
  • Alcohol by volume: 13,5%
  • Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
  • Altitude: around 850 metros.

To make this wine we selected the ripest grapes from the Pago de Carraovejas from the Tinto Fino and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties.

This was a remarkably excellent vintage.

Aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels.

It was Bottle, unclarified, on July of 1998 .

Of the 120,000 bottles obtained from this vintage 1,000 are Magnum size.

“Crianza is the most faithful reflection of Pago de Carraovejas. A wine that became a myth”.
