  • Varieties: tinto fino (78%) cabernet sauvignon (20%) and merlot (2%).
  • Alcohol by volume: 15%
  • Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
  • Altitude: around 850 meters.
  • Harvest: manual, in boxes 15 kg

Elaboration:

  • Aging: 12 months in new French and American oak barrels.
  • Clarified with natural egg white.
  • Bottled in April 2007.

Sensory tasting:

  • Color: cherry red with high layer.
  • Aromas: intense and very complex. Ripe fruit and forest, very harmonized with the two types of oak that provide spices, nuts and coconut.
  • Palate: warm, intense, powerful with soft tannins.
“Pago de Carraovejas Reserva is an honest and sincere elaboration that seeks the maximum expression of the valley. A wine destined to last and to excite”.
